During the summer of 2023, AFD has delegated students to carry out an internship in Togo as part of their studies. The students have cooperated with Akay Esseboe for the following assignments.

 

Preparing forest classes for local schools.

In terms of content, this contains an introduction to global warming followed by a theoretical and a practice-oriented part about composting and seed planting. Preparation is provided using self-made video modules, alternated with interactive games.

 

Raise awareness of climate change in the surrounding villages

Developing video modules for older age groups, especially residents in surrounding villages. These were offered in the form of presentations at organised information sessions.

 

Developing a business model for the expansion of the tree nursery

The business plan describes what actions must/can be taken and what must be taken into account to allow the tree nursery to grow.
